Museum in Nurnberg

Summary

On over 3,000 square meters of collection and exhibition space, the Free State of Bavaria state museum shows art and design from the 1950s to the present day. Painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and installations presented here are uniquely linked to international design pieces in a close spatial setting and framed by extraordinary architecture. Designed by architect Volker Staab, the building, opened in 2000, has been an outstanding urban contemporary edifice right in the heart of Nuremberg's historic center.
